    Dominic is a Tax Associate at William Fry Tax and is a member of the Irish Tax Institute (CTA). He is also a Chartered Engineer (CEng) having worked previously as director of engineering of a multi-disciplinary engineering firm. He uses his tax and engineering/construction knowledge to advise developer and construction related clients in maximizing claims for capital allowances on development projects. He has also achieved post graduate qualifications in project management and town planning and has written a number of articles published in the Engineers Journal and the CIF Construction Magazine.

    Title: The Potential for Capital Allowances in the Development of Data Centres in Ireland

    Synopsis: There exists significant opportunities to avail of generous capital allowances in the development of data centres in Ireland. The purpose of this presentation is to explore the extent and scope of capital allowances available in respect of expenditure incurred on plant and machinery in reducing tax liabilities, resulting in significant tax cash benefits and increased the viability of projects.
